Well known Christian Singer/Songwriter Chris Bowater and friends performed in a different sort of concert at St. Mark's church on
Friday 17th October, when together they played a smooth blues/jazz mixture. Chris on grand piano was very ably accompanied by Matt Ellis on bass, Martin Clark on guitar and Steve Marshall on drums. Vocals were provided by Chris, including his own compositions, accompanied by Suzi Williamson. Suzi also performed a number of songs, particularly favouring the songs of Eva Cassidy.
To mark the occassion the church was decorated with flowers, flags and bunting. The hall, where the refreshments were served, was also suitably decorated with colourful cut-outs of musical notes and musical instruments adding to the atmosphere.
